We use our thickness planer for most of our builds. The problem is we can only plan wood pieces less than 12 inches. These plans are specifically made so that you can use a thickness planer. These plans can be modified to make bigger or smaller boards. These plans do not include how to make the chess pieces themselves. We did include a link to wooden chess pieces that fit the board perfectly and that are inexpensive as well.
